Coming from another Tesla app

DashM8 imports your drives and charges from TeslaFi, TeslaMate and Tessie, reading the export on your own computer. Teslascope and Stats are not supported yet; their pages say what each one lets you export, so your record is safe whichever app you use next.

Where DashM8's history starts

The moment you connect your car, and, if you import, as far back as your export goes. Imported drives and charges are marked as imported wherever they appear, and where DashM8 recorded the same drive itself, its own record is the one shown. If you are leaving another service, export from it before you revoke its access, because once its access is gone it records nothing more.

Your files stay on your computer

DashM8 reads the export in your browser and sends one line per drive and per charge: when it started and ended, the distance, the energy, the battery levels and, if you choose, where it started and ended. The files themselves stay on your computer.

What each service lets you export

We read each service's own website, help pages or App Store listing, and describe only what they document. Where a page did not show the steps, we say so rather than guess.

  • TeslaFi: DashM8 imports its monthly data files, and its Drives file for energy, addresses and cost.
  • TeslaMate: DashM8 imports the backup its documentation describes, a plain SQL dump of your own database.
  • Tessie: DashM8 imports the Drives and Charges files it exports.
  • Teslascope: its site and release notes describe exporting drives and charges for a date range as CSV.
  • Stats: its App Store listing says all stats can be exported to spreadsheets, with iCloud Drive turned on.

What DashM8 measures from day one

DashM8 listens to the car's own Fleet Telemetry stream, so it never wakes the car to read it. It prices every charge against your tariff for that place and time, shows battery health beside Tesla's own figure, and runs on the iPhone and the web. One car is free, with no card.

Tell us which importer to build

Teslascope and Stats come next if owners ask for them. If you want an importer for one of them, or for another service, write to us and name it.

What each service lets you export was read from its own website, help pages or App Store listing on 7 October 2026, and the import steps on 16 October 2026. Those pages can change; check them before you rely on this.
