Six things a telemetry stream every few seconds lets us tell you that a read every half minute cannot. Each has its own page, with the method written out.

The stream is the whole argument

Most Tesla apps poll: they ask the car for its state on a timer, usually every thirty to sixty seconds, and a poll can wake a sleeping car. DashM8 registers as a telemetry endpoint instead, and the car pushes its own values as they change, every few seconds on Pro, across thirty-six fields, without ever being asked anything.

That difference is not a feature list. It is what makes the six pages below possible at all: you cannot measure a charging loss from one end of the cable, and you cannot separate parked drain from driving if you only look twice a minute.

What each page covers

Every feature page states its method before its result, because a number without a method is a marketing claim.

Live telemetry: speed, charge, location and Sentry, every few seconds on Pro, with a staleness label on every field.
Charging cost and losses: energy at the plug, energy into the pack, and the gap between them, priced against your own tariff.
Battery health: our SoC-normalised range measurement beside the state of health Tesla reports for your VIN.
Phantom drain: the per-day figure computed only on genuinely parked, not-charging windows.
Alerts: the events we detect plus the car's own alert names, grouped and quiet-hours aware.
Reports and logbook: the month in one page, trips tagged, everything exportable.

Ask your AI assistant

Ask your AI assistant about your car's real numbers. Claude, Cursor and other MCP assistants can read your own cars through DashM8: live state, trips, charging, battery health, the monthly report and costs. Read-only: it cannot unlock, start, move or change anything, and on the free plan it reads the last seven days. You create and revoke its token in your account.

What it costs to find out

One car, the live cockpit and seven days of history are free forever, with no card. That is enough to see whether your car streams at all and whether the numbers look like your car.
